Helio

For a more traditional approach to fishing lures, we created Helio.

Named after the heliograph (using mirrors to communicate), this lure is great for most skill levels. They are made the same way all of our lures are; Completely handmade in Portsmouth, NH.  Solid resin, Stainless spring steel frame and lead-free.  We also offer these foiled.  This option adds realism, depth, layers and flash.   The "finned" option is a foiled lure that has durable, flexible fins individually drilled and glued; as well as abalone shell eyes.  Check some of the pictures to see the difference between finned, foiled and unfoiled.

A simple rod-tip down straight retrieve gives it a great swimming action.  Adding twitches gives a great “fleeing“ motion big predatory fish can’t resist (mimics when they are being aggressively fed on and trying to get back to the school).  A sweep and pause makes it rapidly vibrate and swim then flutter down the water column.  The flat sides of Helio give it an extended flash to get the attention of distant fish or in murky water.  You can also remove the tail hook on all versions for greater action.
