This Is Chubbs. 

 For years I have been getting requests for a tuna-grade butterfish-shaped lure.  I didn't want just do a generic color variation on an existing model, so here is a completely new design.  Due to its stocky build, weight placement and frame;  chubbs casts farther than most other lures, yet is still easy to keep close to the surface.  It's great for any skill level and are completely handmade in Portsmouth, NH.  We hand pour each and every solid resin blank, use heavy gauge stainless spring steel thru-wire frames and always lead-free metal.  Additionally, we also offer these in foiled or ghost.  Foiling adds added realism, depth, layers and flash.  The ghost version is a clear blank we pressure-cast and pack with metallic glitter and add holographic fins.   Check some of the pictures to see the difference between foiled, ghosted and unfoiled. A simple slow-moderate retrieve gives it a great swimming action with a large tail wag.  Adding small twitches gives a great “fleeing“ motion big predatory fish can’t resist.  A slow sweep and pause makes it rapidly vibrate and swim then flutter down the water column.

Because every lure is handmade and painted, there may be variances.  We try to keep lures in stock but backorders may take a few weeks to ship.
